Elephants have been revered in Thailand for many centuries. Famous as the strongest beasts of burden, in Thailand they were important in battle, with kings mounted on Elephants fighting the Burmese to defend Thailand on many occasions. They have also been noted for their intelligence, memory and pleasant nature. A Thai legend has it that a marriage is like an elephant the husband is the front legs, that choose the direction, the wife the back legs, providing the power!

The elephant camp is located in the idyllic forests and waterfalls. The camp currently has 73 elephants and about 80 mahouts. Although the operation has, most of their elephant go home with their mahouts each night. The food is offered two times a day in the camp.

There is a full-time veterinary elephant – Ronachid who constantly check the elephant. The elephant is also very clear that the elephant cannot be abused, they check each other to ensure that elephants are well-treated.

The villagers can sell to the guests to earn income in the camp of banana and souvenirs. Very clean and good management, not only related to the elephant and the mahout everything, but to the environment and the surrounding villagers as well.

Every day, the elephant take bathe in the river, feeding and performing a series of talent show. You can also ride elephants around the green camp, or to understand the nature of the elephant from a permanent residence in the exhibition elephant. In addition to a day trip, you can try the basic training course if you want to be a mahout and deeply understand the elephant nature. This course will teach you all about animal biology, health, body language, and basic training instruction, bathing, horse riding, painting and normal operation.

If you have children, or just for elephants, why not visit the elephant training camp as well as enjoy the elephant show demonstration of love, a lot of work skills, they play football, and even have the opportunity to draw!
